Issue no 1: Regarding file download in Edge. I have tested on our lab machines and I was able to get the progress bar in Download tab in Edge. In that case we would like you to perform these steps. Clear the content of the Download tab in Edge by clicking on Clear all. Step 2: Clear browsing history and cached data.
Your browser automatically saves temporary Internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix page display problems. Select Browsing history and Cached data and files , and then select Clear. Disclaimer: This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. You favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared. Thanks for your reply, the issue is half solved now. I had a few updates installed later after posting the question which btw doesn't include MS Edge update specifically but now looks like the download progress bar is working fine. Btw my network connection was looking fine and I had no issue in both sending and receiving files online.
I have shown you how you can try to reproduce the issue but trust me, it isn't that easy to find it. I tried creating another user account and testing the same problem there, I had to try the shortcuts too many times and at last, I encountered the same issue there also.
Even for me trying to reproduce the issue was pretty hard, but while actually working on some work I face this issue most of the time. I had to keep only two Windows open so that there won't be any third Window to be shifted to. This is a very bad experience I am facing, plz help me with this. When I clicked on the download button, the page was reloading, and withing a few seconds the loading icon changed to the reload button So the file was being downloaded but did not show download progress until it is completely downloaded.
